If you’re working for a community group, voluntary organisation or on a project that will make a difference to local people, then we may have grants that could help you.
To help us review applications fairly and efficiently, we may use AI tools to support tasks like summarising information or checking eligibility.
Decisions about funding are always made by people, with care, expertise and local knowledge. You can read more about how we use AI responsibly by reviewing our policy, here.
For individuals, just select the Individual filter below to see the grants we have to help you achieve your personal goals, whether it’s furthering your education, developing your skills, or overcoming challenges.
The filters below can help you search our available grants, but you don’t have to use them.
If you don’t use the filters, you’ll automatically see all grants ordered by application deadline, the ones with the earliest deadline will show first.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, try the search bar.
If your grant application is successful, you’ll be contacted by a member of the Point North Grants team who will let you know the conditions of the grant. For example, it may be that we need a little more information before we can formalise the grant, or we might have some conditions around reporting.
After these things have been confirmed, you’ll be asked to accept the terms of the grant, and then we can begin the process of giving you access to funds.
Each grant will have its own specific requirements when it comes to reporting, which your Point North contact will explain to you upfront. They will also be in touch to remind you of key reporting dates throughout the grant, and if you need help with the report, just let your contact know.
If you need any help completing these reports you can contact our team who will guide you through it.
Delays can happen, and it’s not uncommon for projects to renegotiate the terms of their grant. The flexibility for negotiation will vary depending on the specific grant – for example, some government grants require all work to be delivered by a specific date and there’s very little flexibility there. Always keep your Point North contact in the loop, if you know your project will be delayed, talk to us as soon as possible so we can help you.
When you’ve accepted the terms of the grant, you can talk about it however you’d like. You might want to announce it on social media, in a press release or on your website.
Visit our Brand Toolkit to get the Point North logos and see how to reference us in any communications. If you’d like us to give you a comment or a quote for your press release, just get in touch with your Point North contact.
Most grant decisions are made within 12 weeks, and the exact timeline will be made clear at the application stage. If you’re unsuccessful, you’ll receive an email from our team to let you know.
